In short: iPerf 2 & 3 never uploads your test results and has no accounts. The app is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier.
What the app does
iPerf 2 & 3 measures network speed and latency. It connects only to the hosts and IP addresses you enter (iperf servers, ping targets), and, in server mode, accepts connections from devices on your network.
Data stored on your device
- Test history: the results, command line, target host, timestamps and output of tests you run.
- Settings: the options you used last and your language choice.
This data stays in the app's private storage on your device. It is removed when you delete records in the app or uninstall it. It is never uploaded by the app.
Data we collect
We collect nothing ourselves. We run no servers for this app and receive no data from it.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows a banner ad and, before you create a PDF report, a rewarded full-screen ad. Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process the device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / iOS IDFA, if you allow tracking), IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data. - On first launch, where required (for example the EEA, UK, and some US states), Google's consent form asks for your choice. You can change it any time in Info (i) > Ad privacy choices.
- On iOS, the system asks whether the app may track you. If you decline, ads are not personalised.
- You can reset or disable your advertising ID in your device settings (Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads; iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
- Your test results, hosts and outputs are never shared with advertisers.
Network traffic
Test and ping packets are sent only to the hosts you choose. Like any network connection, the operator of that host can see your device's IP address. Test traffic uses the iperf and ICMP protocols and contains generated test data only, not your personal files.
Permissions
- Local Network (iOS) / Internet (Android): needed to connect to your iperf servers and to accept test connections in server mode.
- Advertising ID / Ad services (Android), tracking permission (iOS): used only by the ad SDK as described above.
- The app does not access your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone.
Exports and sharing
When you export a PDF or CSV, or share a report, the file is created on your device and handed to the system share sheet. Only you decide where it goes.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (16 where local law requires), and ads are limited to a general-audience content rating.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

廣告（Google AdMob）
App 會顯示橫幅廣告，並在產生 PDF 報告前播放獎勵式全螢幕廣告。廣告由 Google AdMob（Google LLC）提供。為顯示與衡量廣告，Google Mobile Ads SDK 可能蒐集並處理裝置的廣告識別碼（Android 廣告 ID／iOS IDFA，需你允許追蹤）、IP 位址、裝置與 App 資訊及廣告互動資料，詳見 Google 如何使用資料。
- 首次啟動時，在需要的地區（例如歐洲經濟區、英國及美國部分州），Google 的同意表單會詢問你的選擇；之後可隨時在 資訊 (i) > 廣告隱私選項 變更。
- 在 iOS 上，系統會詢問是否允許 App 追蹤你；拒絕後廣告不會個人化。
- 你可以在裝置設定中重設或停用廣告識別碼（Android：設定 > 隱私權 > 廣告；iOS：設定 > 隱私權與安全性 > 追蹤）。
- 你的測試結果、主機與輸出內容絕不會與廣告商分享。
網路流量
測試與 Ping 封包只會送往你選擇的主機。與一般網路連線相同，該主機的管理者可以看到你裝置的 IP 位址。測試流量使用 iperf 與 ICMP 通訊協定，內容為程式產生的測試資料，不含你的個人檔案。
權限
- 本機網路（iOS）／網際網路（Android）： 用於連線到你的 iperf 伺服器，以及在伺服器模式下接受測試連線。
